He then went on to work in insurance – including serving as the regional vice president of a local company – before going to law school. John Fisher’s background, education, and experience, both in the legal and business world, have prepared him for a diverse practice. Using this unique blend of skills, Mr. Fisher focuses primarily on the legal areas of general litigation with emphasis on business law, personal injury and defense law, and criminal defense. He also serves as general counsel for several local businesses, providing them with valuable legal representation and business counseling.
In addition to his legal practice, John Fisher is also very active in the Tuscaloosa community. He is a Deacon and Member of Calvary Baptist Church, host of The John Fisher Radio Show, and a guest lecturer at University of Alabama, just to name a few.

Mrs. Duncan was born in Bibb County, Alabama in 1970 and attended Bibb County High School, where she graduated in 1988. After graduation, Mrs. Duncan attended Stillman College prior to beginning her career with the Tuscaloosa County District Attorney’s Office.
Mrs. Duncan spent 12 years in the District Attorney’s office. While there, she worked in several capacities, including Child Support Enforcement and Worthless Checks. Mrs. Duncan’s last two years were spent as the special administrative assistant for District Court. Mrs. Duncan’s experience provides a significant amount of insight and assistance in helping navigate matters in all criminal courts. Mrs. Duncan joined The Fisher Law Firm, P.C. in May 2007 and serves as Practice Administrator and Legal Secretary to Mr. John Fisher.
